How to fill the Sunday roast.

The most searched meal in British pubs, and the one most often left to chance. Most Sunday tables are decided on Thursday, and they go to the venue that makes booking easy.

Sell the table, not the plate

Everyone knows what a roast is. What they do not know is whether they will get a table at one o’clock. A visible price, a bookable slot and a photograph of the full room do more than a list of trimmings.

Thursday is the day

Roast decisions are made mid-week on a phone. A post on Thursday evening and a reminder on Saturday morning catch the decision. A Sunday post reaches people who are already eating elsewhere.

Put it on the table

A table talker for the roast on Friday and Saturday nights sells next Sunday to the people already in. A come back card with the date on it does the same on the way out.

done for you.
